Dr. Janette Hope: Entzündliche und immunologische Effekte durch Innenraumbelastungen
Understanding of the effects of exposure to indoor air pollution from sources such as combustion products, volatile organic compounds, traffic and biocontaminants resulting from exposure to indoor water damage, mold and mycotoxins and the resultant exposure to particuiates including ultrafine particulates in the indoor environment continues to grow. The effects of these exposures on inflammatory and immune responses and the mechanisms which lead to these responses will be reviewed. Susceptible populations and common disease manifestations and biomarkers will be identified. Additionaily, interventions that can mitigate the consequences of these exposures will be reviewed including avoidance/reduction of exposure and treatment interventions that can help to reverse the effects of these exposures.
